Três….um número de sorte, um número vulgar, ou então aquele número que representa o número de semanas que Mercy passa no número um da tabela de singles no Reino Unido. Desta vez, o blog tem que obrigatoriamente ter um post especial sobre a menina Duffy, que já foi introduzida num post anterior com Frankie Valli e Sonny J (claro!). Mercy entrou para o número um sem ter sido editado em suporte de cd, o que é um outro efeito histórico a adicionar ao facto que em 25 anos nenhuma cantora galesa tinha sido capaz de fazer o mesmo. Rockferry é o título do álbum que é editado hoje, e esperemos que acompanhe o sucesso deste single que nos reporta para outros tempos, outras viagens, outros momentos.

Duffy é oriunda do País de Gales, e tem 23 anos, mas um pujança única e muito forte o que, mais uma vez, dá para dizer que a idade é apenas um número. É verdade que Duffy pode parecer Buffy, mas claro, uma canta, encanta e dá-nos aqueles momentos únicos ao som da sua voz peculiar e genuína, enquanto que a outra caça vampiros…a questão é apenas quem escolher! Um arrepio único e fantasticamente perfeito de uma das mais recentes e mais interessantes revelações de 2008, ou uma luta metódica em cada episódio (que é repetitivo!).

Three…the lucky number, an ordinary number, or the number of weeks that Mercy spent on the number one position in the U.K. Single Charts. This time, this blog has to write a special post about Duffy, although she was already introduced here beforetogether with Frankie Valli and Sonny J (of course!). Mercy entered the charts on number one based on downloads alone, which is an historic point to add to other one: she is the first welsh girl to achieved number one in the U.K. in 25 years. Rockferry is the name of the album and is released today, and we all hope that this album will do  as good as the single that leads us to other times, places and other moments.

Duffy comes from Wales and is 23 years old, but with all her power once again, one must say that ain’t nothing but a number.  We all know that Duffy is very similar to Buffy but, of course, one sings, enchants and offers us those unique and special moments with he genuine and peculiar voice, while the other hunts vampires..The point here, you have to choose between a unique and perfect chill from one of the best newcomers in 2008, and the same fight every episode (very repetitive!).
