Dinamarca, o país de duas grandes revelações:
Camille Jones e
Ida Corr. Depois destas duas exportações, temos um grupo divertido e original, os
Alphabeat. Com um som muito influenciado pelos anos 80, com muito pop à mistura, as melodias retro deste grupo conquistaram a Dinamarca no Verão passado, e começam agora a tomar conta da Europa (assim esperamos!). Com um álbum que já atingiu platina e com três singles (
Fascination,
10,000 Nights Of Thunder e
Boyfriend) que atingiram os lugares cimeiros do Top Dinamarquês, agora é a vez do Reino Unido ser tomado por este grupo, uma vez que na segunda semana o single
Fascination subiu do número 23 para o número 7.
O vídeo de Fascination é alegre, colorido e obriga mesmo a deixar o teclado, andar pelo quarto a cantar e abrir a janela a sorrir. É mesmo fascinante esta lufada de ar fresco na música pop, com misturas electrónicas e com sons acústicos…um salgalhada a juntar a letras curiosas, catchy e que não dão muito que pensar. É, sem dúvida, aquele tema para abanar aquela festa que está a arrefecer ou para acordar na melhor maneira possível (aqui ficam estas duas sugestões!).
Daí que será, sem dúvida, um dos primeiros
Refrescos Musicais de 2008, a par de
Duffy, para juntar ao cardápio de 2007 composto por
Mika,
Luciana Caporaso,
Robyn,
Kate Nash entre outros. Daí que
Back To Love,Music & Lifestyle atribui 4 sapinhos alegres (em cinco) a esta revelação!

Denmark, the country from which two great revelations came out:
Camille Jones and
Ida Corr. After these two exports, one has a new, original and funny group namely
Alphabeat. With songs influenced by the 80’s sound, with a lot of pop in it, the retro melodies conquered Denmark last Summer, and they started now to take Europe by storm (at least we hope so!). Their album achieved platinum status and the three singles (
Fascination,
10,000 Nights Of Thunder and
Boyfriend) achieved higher positions in the sales charts, and now its United Kingdom’s turn to be conquered by storm, as the single
Fascination climbed from number 23 to number 7 on its second week.
The video for Fascination is happy, full of colour and that makes us leave the keyboard and walk around the room singing and open the window with a big smile. It is really fascinating this fresh air in pop music with this blend of electronic and acoustic sounds …. Mixed with curious and catchy lyrics, that don’t ask for us to use our brain in order to understand them. Therefore, this is the perfect tune to shake that boring party or wake up with the best mood (these are just two suggestions!).
In conclusion, they are the first
Musical Refreshments of 2008, together with
Duffy, for us to join the 2007 Menu with
Mika,
Luciana Caporaso ,
Robyn and
Kate Nash, among others. So,
Back To Love, Music & Lifestyle has to give 4 happy frogs out of 5 to these newcomers.
