Sousltice

I've been losing leaving
Fooling, deceiving
I've been stealing, hiding
Calling, crying

I've been alone, I'd rather be in love

Que o diabo venha e escolha ....

English/ Inglês

Confined in a small space that are the square meters of our house, which cannot contain all our joys, sorrows, experiences, disappointments and experiences without memory, we found the first song on the Soulstice remix album, Mixed Illusions.

Illusion was the title of the first album, as was the reality that we felt was eternal until so recently, and that needed a new, more cheerful outfit, farther from downtempo and trip hop, that we thought life would bring us until ... 2020. Yes, the passionate love affairs we knew each weekend, each day when we grouped in a circle after a gin and a discount of academic beer were pure illusions or heard the sound of "log on" on the extinct MSN Messenger.

Mixed Illusions, like our days today, bring joys, ups and downs filled with intermittent sounds that travel and deepen the memories of daily synthesizers that we hear early in the morning. Lockdown opens, without hesitation, what the initial album did not achieve and transposed us to an unparalleled journey with the voice of Gina Rene (A Thousand Years with Julius Papp), which through Falling leaves us melancholy, thoughtful and anxious. If our lives had to be remixed with mixers in mp3 and dubious pen drives, why do we doubt? Probably, a remix album does not bring anything new, many of us think, which is not the case, since Miguel Migs, and Filla Brazillia manage to transform the melodies into new experiences and journeys, never heard and experienced or adequate to one or another situation in our life, whether happy or sad:

I've been alone, I'd rather be in love

Take your pick ....

I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On (2005) … you’re joking, for sure!

With sounds that perfume days with sun, beach and hot emotions, Colette, probably one of the most interesting American DJs unknown in Europe, has been building her long career, with 3 albums (two under OM Records), a Best Breakthrough DJ award and the nº1 iTunes album Hypnotized (2005).

When The Music’s Loud (2013) is the third album which has been inspired by the 80s sound, mixes these previous years’ tendencies of electro and deep house, in an 11-song-album that will put your iPod on “repeat”. And why? It’s almost Friday and with these gray days we all need that summer heat we have been missing. In those intense passion moments, the single Physically (2014) is highlighted by its deep sound and intense and sexy vocals (remixed by Late Night Alumni, on the single edition), released after the acclaimed Hotwire (2013), which reminds us the first time we’ve been in a disco back in 1989 and it is not less than an hymn to the moment when two bodies meet each other. The track Best Of Days speeds things up in the these chance meetings and brings with it the will to involve ourselves in an Oasis, where simplistic electronic allows us to contemplate a passionate sundown.

If you are looking for a calm weekend spent listening to the rain, forget this album … but if you’re looking for more than an hour of pleasure for your ears, followed by sensations under the sheets this is, without any question, the must have album.

To help you … here you have 7 of the 11 songs taken from the album for you to listen and download for free  … are you ready to be turned on?

I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On  (2005) … isso é a brincar, só pode!

E para ajudar … aqui estão sete dos 11 temas do álbum que podem ouvir e descarregar gratuitamente … are you ready to be turned on?

the Rise of Samantha James...

by perplex3r, em 10.09.08

(English/Inglês)

I wanna feel, I wanna taste the world we found that is the chorus of Breath You In, one of the most refreshing and lyrically interesting song taken from Samantha James’ album Rise, the most melodic voice of the electronic music and, in some way, it might steal Gaelle’s position.
Coming from Los Angeles, and yes, she and her voice might have fallen from the sky; Samantha James brings to her 11 songs, co-produced by Sebastian Arocha (Sting/Fila Brazilia, etc) the joy of love relationships (like the one we have with our summer romance), although sometimes we have to deal with some sad doubts. Therefore, one should highlight the track Rise, Angel Love, that freezes time around us (video), and the Club Anthem Of The Year nominee Breath You In, released in several summer compilations (ex: Beach Angel), specially with Eric Kupper’s remix, the one who has already remixed the fabulous Afterlife.
To sum up, no one can doubt that Samantha James came here to stay, offering us a fabulous album for all of us who, either for the melodies or the lyrics will fall in love with Rise. As a result, we have here another Musical Refreshment for 2008.
