Hot Lips é o que dificilmente se encontra naquela saída nocturna de fim-de-semana, mas que, quando se vê e se observa aquele mordiscar não se consegue para de pensar neles! É com esta permissa que Pacific! nos apresenta este single espectacular, que mistura um ritmo electrónico lento, sem muitos floreados, com uma voz masculina e cujo o video foi nomeado para o Swedish MTV Grammis (sim, com i) Awards! Mais uma vez a Moshi Moshi Records consegue surpreender, dado que Au Revoir Simone e Pacific! mostram-se como duas grandes apostas conseguidas internacionalmente!

O duo francês Justice composto por Xavier de  Rosney e Gaspar Augé, depois de nomeados para Best Electrónica Album, Best Dance Recording e Best Vídeo com o tema D.A.N.C.E nos Grammys, apresentam um novo single DVNO, que significa Divino, pois segundo Xavier de Rosney "In every suburb of the world, in every city, there's always a nightclub called El Divino... Clubs where you have to wear like a white shirt to get in.” (Wikipedia).  Contudo, embora se apresente como uma aposta de peso para os Club Charts desse mundo fora e tenha a colaboração de Mehdi Pinson dos Scenario Rock, não será tão original e catchy como D.A.N.C.E, e talvez não atinja o topo como o single anterior. Apesar disso, este grupo revolucionário de electro house com influências rock promete deliciar qualquer apaixonado pela electrónica, cada vez que DVNO esteja a rodar nas cabines de dj.

O início do fim-de-semana não poderia ser melhor e, enquanto esperam por aqueles DVNO Hot Lips vermelhinhos e apetecíveis sempre podem ouvir o que de melhor há na electrónica aqui no Back To Music, Love & Lifestyle.

Thinking about this Pacific! presents this stunning single, in which they mix a simple, soft and low rhythm with a male voice, with the video nominated for the Swedish MTV Grammis (yes,with an i)! Once again, Mushi Mushi Records surprises us, as Au Revoir Simone and Pacific! are two great international acts from this label!

Numa altura em que as ondas hip hop estavam a bater cada vez mais na areia e a música electrónica a ser relevada para segundo plano surge a partir de Londres uma personagem descontraída, bem construída, com estilo único chamada Imogen Heap.

Estávamos em 1998 quando o seu primeiro álbum i Megaphone (um anagrama para o seu próprio nome) saiu e agradou a toda a crítica, recebendo comentários positivos quer na Europa, quer no outro lado do Atlântico, seguido do álbum Speak For Yourself. Este último chegou mesmo a atingir o topo no Top Heatseekers e o nº2 no Top Electronic Albums em 2005. Porém, a consagração do seu segundo álbum deve-se ao facto de, entre 2002 e 2003, Imogen ter-se aliado a Guy Sigsworth, que já havia produzido e escrito temas para Björk, Seal, Madonna e Lamb, formando o aclamado duo electrónico Frou Frou. Esta formação apenas lançou um álbum electronicamente perfeito, mas viram duas das suas canções em filmes como Garden State, com Natalie Portman, The Holiday e Shrek 2, para além de editarem 3 singles (Breath In,Let Go e It’s Good To Be In Love). O álbum Details incorporou elementos trip hop, electrónica, pop e rock, para além e incluírem instrumentos como violoncelo e guitarras. E é nesta linha que esta artista segue na sua carreira a solo: álbums construídos à volta da música electrónica, com influências acústicas, electrónicas e chillout.

Com um percurso musical invejável, Imogen Heap foi nomeada em 2006 para dois Grammys: Best New Artist e para Best Song Written for Motion Picture, mais propriamente com Can’t Take It In, incluídas na série O.C. e no filme As Crónicas de Nárnia. Para além disso, continuou a escrever e a produzir outros grupos e cantores enquanto continua a sua carreira a solo.

É com grande prazer que se anuncia a edição em Maio do seu terceiro álbum, e nota-se cada vez mais em alta rotação pelos amantes da música electrónica e de dança, uma vez que DJ Tiësto remisturou o tema Hide & Seek, retirado do álbum Speak for Yourself, que agora está a agitar qualquer perninha que não se queira mexer. É de notar que, embora a vertente deste seja mais trance, Tiësto fez uma excelente remistura, uma vez que deixou permanecer o espírito e a melodia original com vocoders, adicionando-lhe apenas batidas mais house progressivas tornando o título da remistura perfeito: Tiësto In Search Of A Sunrise. Há ainda outra remistura perfeita para aquele pôr-do-sol o Morgan Page Bootleg Remix.

 

 

In a time when the hip hop waves were arriving on the beach and electronic music was losing the pole position, Imogen Heap appears from London, a character with a great peculiar and original style.

When her i Megaphone came out (an anagram for her name) the critics were pleased with that album both in Europe and on the other side of the Atlantic, followed by her second album Speak For Youself. This album got to the top of Top Heatseekers and the second position on the Top Electronic Albums in 2005. Her consecration arrived after teeming up with Guy Sigsworth between 2002 and 2003 to form the critically acclaimed electronic group Frou Frou. Guy Sigsworth had already written and produced Björk, Seal, Madonna and Lamb. This duo only released one perfect album, but had two songs on films such as Garden State, with Natalie Portman, The Holiday and Shrek 2, and released three singles (Breath In, Let Go and It’s Good To Be In Love). The album Details had fantastic trip hop, electronica, pop & rock influences including cellos and guitars, and that’s what Imogen follows on her solo career, adding to her albums also acoustic influences and chillout moods.

Having a music career to be proud of, Imogen Heap was nominated in 2006 for 2 Grammys: Best New Artist and Best Song Written for a Motion Picture for Can’t Take It In, included on the TV series The O.C. and in the film The Narnia Chronicles. She also continued to write and produce other artists while having her own solo career.

I’m very pleased for the fact that her third album will come out this May, and she is having the attention she deserves either from the electronica fans and house music fans, as DJ Tiësto remixed Hide & Seek, taken from the Speak For Yourself album, and all legs want to dance to it. One should notice that Tiësto did a great remix, as he kept the same original and spiritual melody with the vocoders, adding some progressive house beats, turning the name of the remix a perfect one: Tiësto In Search Of a Sunrise. There is also another remix that one should pay attention to: the Morgan Paige Bootleg Remix for that perfect sunset.
