...Sometimes, you don't even have the time to realize
what is happening to your life,
that it has already happened...
the world moves too fast...
let's recapture the essence of time.
(Robert Miles)

R.I.P. Robert Miles!

On May 9, 2017 Robert Miles passed away in Ibiza, the Italian-Swiss producer who revolutionized dance music in the mid-90s with his dream house sound, later called dream trance in which the strong beats are accompanied by piano. It was with Children (5 million singles sold) that he achieved this feat when it broke the charts around the world, with an impressive number 1 in more than twelve countries and more than 13 weeks in number 1 in the Eurochart Top 100 and influenced the electronic productions in the years that followed.
In addition, the story behind his electronic adventure, which led to the creation of Children and the album Dreamland, which contains Fable and One & One (feat. Maria Nayler), is very interesting and makes him not only a special musician but also a conscious deejay about what was(is) happening in the club/rave culture (at that time). Due to the growing number of deaths on Saturday nights when more and more discos were being opened with alcoholic excesses (and not only that), the Italian police even indicated these events as a scourge. Certainly the audience left them euphoric, still energetic or sleepy, and irresponsibly took the wheel and drove home after hours of repetitive and euphoric music and Robert Miles intended to calm the moods in the end of his sets, almost like bringing a sensation of relaxation and calm after all the excesses. Certainly the awareness of the importance of life belongs to everyone, but it is almost like following the slogan that for any problem if we all contribute we can create solutions, in fact the measure was even approved by the Italian authorities.
After five albums we then say a see you soon  and a THANK YOU for all the piano melodies, the mix with jazz, progressive house and chillout that has provided us so many unique moments on dance floors, long car trips and outdoor parties. Music makes us dream, and as Miles wrote one day, the world moves quickly and therefore, perhaps, we should all achieve our dreams, fight for them and celebrate life.
R.I.P. Robert Miles!

friday and i'm BURNING for you!

by perplex3r, em 31.03.17

It's Friday and I meet you Downtown where the last rays of sunlight still shine through the buildings. I'm happy walking towards you as you come to me holding to chilled bottles of Super Bock (beer), letting me know what's waiting for us tonight. This late afternoon highlights your smile and your body and when my lips touch yours, I will desire you even more. I will squeeze your body against mine and at the same time, a long and passionate kiss will have as backdrop the garden of Virtudes and the view over the Douro River.
It is not, but this could well be another scene from the Burning video that joins the French Bob Sinclar with Italian duo Daddy's Groove, composed by Carlo Grieco and Peppe Folliero, who have already remixed Axwell,Laidback Luke and Quentin Harris. Gone are the days of french house with Champs Elysées and the commercial sing-a-longs of Western Dreams, although this single has the sample of the eternal disc hit Don’t Leave Me This Way of 1976 by Thelma Houston, whose version from the 80s by The Communards is better known, which forces us to hum as we listen to it, at least until a kiss shuts us up. Antoine Clamaran and Robbie Riviera remixes have been released in addition to the original version (radio and extended), both with additions approaching electrohouse, and Mindshake, the latter perfect for that time of night when we can only see the colourful lights and smiling faces around us. Being a very danceable house theme, with that high pitch and crescendo characteristic, it has all the requirements to remember the summer and the pool / beach parties.
Meanwhile, later, under that lamp in the Galerias de Paris, I steal another kiss from you and for each dance floor we enter the world seems more and more composed only by us both ... we are only delaying, between Gins and mojitos, the moment we walk home and culminate the night wrapped in each other.

This may well be a chapter of your life that will turn into a book. Because there is nothing better than moments for two through a Friday crowd, fall in love and steal as many kisses as you can. If this is not your favorite scenario for Chapter 1, press play and get some ideas ... maybe crawling on the dining table is the one you enjoy the most!

Baby my heart is full of love and desire for you
now come on down and do what you gotta do
my heart is full of love and desire for you
now can't you see its burning
Make it burn like fire

Feel the Wave with Didier Sinclair!

by perplex3r, em 23.01.09

(English/Inglês)

Didier Sinclair is one of the pioneers in the worldwide electronic music scene, as he, in 1992, was invited to have his own music show by the Radio FG, the first radio that adopted the concept of electronic music. Later on, and after collaborating with the Sound Of Barclay, he is considered the 4th best French deejay.
In 2008 he presented an amusing, happy and colourful track for the cold and rainy winter nights, i.e. Feel The Wave. Together with a video that can represent one of our nights out, the voice of Lily V leads us to nocturnal romances, indiscreet looks, but also to great sensations of freedom. Therefore, the remixes by Ali Payamy are the most relevant, but the original version is very compensating for those who want to sing-a-long before ordering a second glass of vodka.
Although Feel The Wave presents us a fantastic trip, Didier Sinclair is no longer among us, but these are some of the best reasons to remember him in a Friday, before we get ready to go out!

Toca Me ... that's a Miracle!

by perplex3r, em 01.04.08

(English/Inglês)

We all need a miracle once in a lifetime, and a miracle can also be the fact that Fragma’s Toca’s Miracle is for the 3rd time popular worldwide, reaching nº1 in the UK Upfront Club Charts, nº1 in the Brazil Dance Charts and nº2 in the European Dancefloor Charts. Initially the 1998 single Toca Me reached nº11 and was followed by the bootleg that mixed Toca Me with I Need A Miracle from Coco, but if the 2000 release wasn’t suitable for the best clubs, the 2008 remixes promise to do the opposite (release date: 31st March)
Showing how the house beats evolved since Toca’s Miracle got into the nº1 position in the UK Singles Charts, Inpetto transformed Toca Me by giving it a touch of class, a more relaxing feeling and a perfect sound for our ears, though he kept the soft sound from the first release. However, the remixed version that was chosen to represent it, and of course sell, still keeps the I need a Miracle/It’s more Physical What I Need (as if no one could ever guess that with the video), but if you manage to put your hand on the version without the sing-along, you will feel great in these longer and sunny days almost calling for Summer.
To sum up, prefer Toca Me (it tastes so good saying it) to Toca’s Miracle, because in Portuguese Toca Me (Touch Me) can lead to something and miracles, well, we are all still waiting for them!
