Na noite escura de sexta-feira, enquanto um copo de mojito ainda está a meio, sente-se a primavera no ar e estamos, os dois, numa varanda na Baixa. Ali, naquele pequeno espaço,  sentimos quase como se estivessemos a sobrevoar as árvores e as pessoas que percorrem, atarefadas, a rua em busca de uma bebida ou dos seus sonhos. Temos as luzes da cidade e a Torre dos Clérigos como o cenário perfeito para eu te observar e ouvir, sem te interromper, hipnotizado pelas tuas palavras e a música de fundo, em volume baixo, é quase como uma banda sonora  a acompanhar as histórias do teu filme.
4AM é o marco desta noite! A versão acústica é bastante sentimental, enquanto que a remistura de Adam K & Soha adiciona à voz doce de Becky Williams as batidas necessárias e constantes de deep house, que podem muito bem abrir uma pista de dança 3 horas mais cedo. Por isso, preferimos a mescla de melodias, cheia de altos e baixos, que a versão ao vivo nos oferece. É isso que Late Night Alumni e Kaskade nos trazem. Desde 2005, com o álbum Empty Streets, até ao presente dia, nos oferecem canções que incorporam instrumentos reais, house music e soft trance com histórias simples mas repletas de sentimento.  Assim, são a prova viva que a música de dança é bem mais do que simples trechos de batidas fortes e que nos pode fazer pensar e sonhar.
Por isso, no domingo de manhã, quando a cidade ainda dorme e percorremos a rua estreita que nos leva até casa, fumamos o nosso último cigarro sem nada dizer. Não é preciso, ambos sabemos que a primeira linha do nosso livro a dois foi escrita há duas noites atrás, quando mordemos os lábios um do outro, às 4 da manhã.

In the dark Friday night, while a glass of mojito is still halfway full, spring is in the air and we are both Downtown on a balcony. There, in that little space, we feel almost as if we are flying over the trees and the people who walk, busy, on the street in search of a drink or their dreams. We have the city lights and the Clérigos Tower as the perfect setting for me to observe and listen, without interrupting you, mesmerized by your words and the background music, at low volume, is almost like a soundtrack accompanying the stories of the your movie.
4AM is the milestone of this evening! The acoustic version is quite sentimental, while the remix of Adam K & Soha adds to the sweet voice of Becky Williams the necessary and steady beats of deep house, which may well open a dance floor 3 hours earlier. So we prefer the mix of melodies, full of ups and downs that the live version offers. That's what Late Night Alumni and Kaskade bring us. Since 2005, with the album Empty Streets, to today, they offer us songs that incorporate real instruments, house music and soft trance with simple yet sentimental stories. Thus, this is the living proof that dance music is much more than simple stretches of hard beat and it can make us think and dream.So on Sunday morning, when the city is still asleep and we walk down the narrow street that leads us home, we smoke our last cigarette without saying anything. No need, we both know that the first line of our book was written two nights ago when we bit each other's lips at 4 AM.

Por ser o melhor álbum de electrónica de sempre, há um risco que podem correr quando lhe puserem as mãos em cima…é nunca mais o conseguirem tirar do leitor...a vossa história apaixonante acaba de começar!

Empty Streets (video of the week) – A história de um amor que pode não estar destinado a ser concretizado ou, em outras circunstâncias, a prevalecer. Contudo, se o coração não está preparado para se abrir a alguém, é porque, outrora foi partido. Valerá a pena tentar outra vez?

 

Heaven – Te Digo que Te Amo e tu? É assim, uma pergunta que, ao longo de música demora a ser respondida, mas quando o é, coloca-se a dúvida : I’ve searched for hours and miles and only found more shoes/ more points of view as If I Knew…não estaremos sempre com dúvidas numa história de amor?. Mas Keep Up With Me conta que não vale a pena lutar ou problematizar uma coisa que é inexplicável...let go, take a chance with me/ come on, don't fight it!

 

Beautiful – És assim, tal como és e é por isso que eu te amo. Há qualquer coisa nos teus olhos que confirma o amor eterno em ti…acabaram-se os sonhos, porque a realidade é muito mais bonita contigo a meu lado.

If every love story needed an O.S.T., the album Empty Streets from Late Night Alumni (a Kaskade side project) would be, without any question, the best sound for it, even if it’s only because of the song dedicated to Eros. Empty Streets is an album to (re)discover and a must have for every music lover; with a total of 12 songs that hugh the beach house (Keep Up With Me and Heaven), kiss tenderly the deep house (Empty Streets), caress the downtempo and with lyrics that feel the passion in the voice of Becky Williams.

Due to the fact that this is the best electronic album ever, there’s a risk you might take in consideration when you buy it…you will never take it of your stereo…your passionate love story has just started!

Empty Streets (video of the week) – The story of a love that might not happen or, in other circumstances, prevail. However, if the heart is not prepared to open, it’s because it was broken back then. Is it worth it to try again?

 

Heaven – I’ve said I Love you. And you? That’s a question that takes almost the whole song to be answered, but when we get the answer, we have the doubt: I’ve searched for hours and miles and only found more shoes/ more points of view as If I Knew…don’t we have all doubts in a love story?  But Keep up With Me tells us that there’s no need to explain the unexplainable, so let go/take a chance with me/ come on don’t fight it!
