Breathe dos franceses Télépopmusik é,provavelmente, a música chillout mais adequada a tardes na piscina, com muito sol e calor, bebidas misturadas e coloridas e uma sensação de férias eternas, aliás o vídeo por Jordan Scott (filha de Ridley Scott) fomenta essa ideia. Estávamos no ano de 2001 quando o álbum Genetic World foi editado e em 2002 quando a voz calma de Angela McCluskey rompeu as rádios com este single que, não será preciso explicar porquê, chegou à UK Singles Charts, à US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart e foi nomeado para um Grammy.
Em 2017 surgem novas remisturas que vão desconstruir totalmente a versão original, oferecendo uma viagem que explora o experimental, o chillout e downtempo. O parisiense Kartell assina dois remixes, slow (video) e club remix, conseguindo manter a sensação relaxante original, com o primeiro mix, e transformando o tema num deep house anthem com o segundo. Em oposião temos as remisturas de Cézaire e Duñe e  Katuchat que são quase como um excesso de experimentalismo electrónico que envolve e que se adapta e adequa a espaços/clubs alternativos.
Assim, podemos respirar um pouco de vários mundo electrónicos através de um EP peculiar, ou a vida também não precisasse de ser remisturada de vez em quando, com sons desconexos, provenientes de experiências mais ou menos positivas e, acima de tudo, de vivências únicas. Em suma, é um pouco sobre isso que estas remisturas nos levam a pensar e,acima de tudo, sentir, pois se existem coisas boas algures no nosso passado, porque não dar-lhes um nova memória mantendo o sentimento original?

Breathe from the French band  Télépopmusik is probably the most suitable chillout song  for afternoons in the pool, with lots of sun and heat, with mixed and colourful drinks and a sense of eternal holidays, besides the video by Jordan Scott (daughter of Ridley Scott) fosters this idea . We were in the year 2001 when the album Genetic World was released and in 2002 when a calm voice of Angela McCluskey broke the radios with this single, no need to explain why it reached to the UK Singles Charts, the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart and was nominated for a Grammy.
In 2017 new remixes appear that will totally deconstruct the original version, offering a journey that explores the experimental, chillout and downtempo. Parisian Kartell signs two remixes, slow (video) and club remix, managing to maintain an original relaxing sensation with the first mix, and turning the track into a deep house anthem with the second one. Opposed to them we have remixes by Cézaire and Duñe and Katuchat that are almost like an excess of electronic experimentalism that surrounds us and are adapted to alternative places/clubs.
Thus, we can breathe a little of several  electronic worlds through a peculiar EP, as  life needs  to be remixed from time to time, with disconnected sounds, coming from more or less positive experiences, above all, from unique ones. In short, it is a bit this that these remixes lead us to think and, above all, feel, because if there are good things in our past, why not give them a new memory while maintaining the original feeling?

Passaste o dia presentear a tua mãe com mimos, com prendas e sorrisos durante a longa tarde de domingo. Sabes que não há ninguém como ela, aquela pessoa que te chateia quando tens 17 anos e chegas um pouco depois das 3 e lhe disseste que chegavas à uma. Aquela pessoa especial que faz de conta que não te vê a ir torto para a cama (porque bebeste demais na Queima das Fitas durante a noite) e são 9 da manhã e tens que recuperar energia para mais logo. Mas mais importante que isso, a mãe que é capaz de tirar o único euro que tem na carteira para te dar um gelado, que é capaz de não comprar o que gosta para te oferecer um brinquedo e sabe que, quando estás triste, a tua sobremesa favorita te vai alegrar.
Mother's Protect é um pouco isso, se quisermos circunscrever o tema a esse dia, que fala de amor, da maior expressão do  mesmo que será o amor de uma mãe por um(a) filho(o). Retirado do primeiro álbum da dupla Niki & The Dove, oriundo da Suécia, e que tem em Instinct uma mistura de indietronica, synthpop e futurepop. Já nomeados pela BBC para Sound Of 2012, já editaram um segundo álbum intitulado Everybody's Heart Is Broken Now, no ano passado. Preferimos ouvir o Goldroom Remix, que se aproxima de bandas como MGMT,por exemplo, que prolonga a tarde de segunda feira à beira mar e os martinis na mesa da esplanada.
Muito mais que oferecer música, flores, prendas ... nada é tão puro e simples como um OBRIGADO todos os dias por teres, ou teres tido, uma mãe que te tornou único e especial aliás, mais do que qualquer pessoa, ela é a melhor influência que podes ter.

You spent the day giving your mother treats with gifts and smiles during the long Sunday afternoon. You know there's no one like her, that person who annoys you when you're 17 and you arrive a little bit after 3 and you told her you were coming home around one. That special person who pretends she does not see you going to bed dizzy (because you drank too much at Queima das Fitas  – special week of party for Portuguese University Students) and it's 9 in the morning and you have to recover energy for later. But more importantly, a mother who is able to  take out her last pound to offer you an ice cream, who is able to not buy what she likes just to offer you a toy and knows that when you are sad, your favourite dessert will cheer you up.
Mother's Protect is a bit of this, if we want to circumscribe the song to that day, which speaks of love, the greater expression of a mother’s love for her child. Taken from the first album by the duo Niki & The Dove, from Sweden, who have in Instinct a mix of indietronica, synthpop and futurepop. Already nominated by the BBC for Sound of 2012, they have already released last year a second album entitled Everyone's Heart is Broken Now. We prefer to listen to the Goldroom Remix, which resembles bands like MGMT, for example, and which prolongs a Monday afternoon at the seaside with martinis on the table.

A vida é apenas altos e baixos ... especialmente quando encontramos o amor nossas vidas, acreditar nesses sentimentos e fazer tudo o que precisamos para fazer esse conto de fadas durar uma vida. No entanto, ao longo dos anos podemos sentir tristeza, alegria, emoção, felicidade, dor ... tudo só porque começamos a AMAR.
Clara Mae, (ex Ace Of Base) cantora de 25 anos da Suécia , foi recrutada pela dupla norueguesa Kream e entregou este single influenciado por Lean On. Embora a música tenha sido influenciada durante os últimos anos pelo som de Major Lazer, este ainda mantém a sua produção original e acrescenta um sentimento de verão a uma história de amor muito triste. Existe ainda a versão acústica, bem mais melancólica, para além de remisturas em estilo trap de Disto, e viagens por praias e areias brancas por Lash e Joe Mason.
Tem em mente que nem todas as histórias terminam em lágrimas e, se entretanto, és apenas tu e teus lençóis esta sexta-feira com uma garrafa aberta, certifiqua-te de beber um bom vinho e ouvir boa música (esta é aquela música que embora exprima exatamente o teu estado de espírito, será um lembrete de que tu, somente TU, és o único que pode desvirar teu coração e aproveitar novamente vida!).

Life is just ups and downs ... specially when we find the love our lives, believe in those feelings and do whatever we need to in order to make that fairytale last a lifetime. However, throughout the years we may experience saddeness, joy, excitement, happiness, pain .... all just because we started to LOVE.
Clara Mae, (ex Ace of Base) the 25-year-old singer from Sweden, was recruited by the norwegian duo Kream and delivered this Lean On influenced hit single. Although music has been influenced over the past years by Major Lazer sound, this one still keeps its original production and adds a summer feeling to a very sad love story. There is also the accoustic version, as well as remixes sounding like trap music by Disto, and trips through beaches and white sands by Lash and Joe Mason.
Keep in mind that not all stories end in tears and, if in the meantime, it is just you and your sheets this Friday with an open bottle, make sure you drink a nice one and listen to good music (this is that song that even thougite sands h expresses exactly your state of mind, will be a reminder that you, only YOU, are the one that can untape your heart and enjoy life back again!).

Todos nós temos desejos, desejos de alcançar um novo posto de trabalho, de atingir um patamar de riqueza e, mais do que aqueles que nos são incutidos, existem sempre aqueles desejos que (para uma visão bem puritana) são demasiado pecaminosos para este mundo.
Sadeness (Part 1) de Enigma (5 milhões de singles vendidos) mistura o canto religioso, os vocais sensuais da cantora alemã Sandra, que teve Maria Magdalena nos tops na década de 80, com uma voz masculina que questiona os desejos do Marquês de Sade. São desejos mesclados numa canção que alcançou o número um durante 5 semana nas Eurochart e em mais de 24 países (Reino Unido e US, por exemplo) e que, em alguns, o título foi alterado para Sadness(Part 1), retirando, dessa forma, o pecado que este single poderia conter e atribuindo-lhe mais melancolia que respostas a desejos carnais.
Desta forma, tal como na música, podemos sempre questionar os nossos desejos mais íntimos, podemos até mesmo misturar o que de mais puro temos em nós sem nunca descurar o outro lado do espelho, aquele prazer que nos pode ser oferecido pelo outro, aquele mesmo em que dois corpos se juntam e partilham o que têm de mais íntimo. Aqui, o nome do Marquês substitui-se pelo teu, porque as questões que lhe são dirigidas podem muito bem ser respondidas por ti. Aliás, nesta mistura de sons de flauta e batidas podes, muito bem, reflectir até que ponto te encontras fechado a convenções e tradições obsoletas ou limitativas.
Em suma, não será apenas Sadeness que se encontra actual 27 anos depois, mas também o álbum MCMXC a.D que é mais do que uma busca  num mundo medieval, cheio de sons de floresta, de grilhões que prendem as mãos e a mente e de pessoas que pretendem encontrar respostas únicas e libertadoras às suas questões mais íntimas.Para começar a viagem, por este vídeo, ficamos com Principles of Lust (Os Princípios da Luxúria), a trilogia que Sadeness se insere, porque o pecado, esse, nunca fez mal a ninguém!

We all have desires, desires to get a new job, to be wealthier, and more than the ones that are instigated, there are always those which (for a puritan vision)are too sinful for this world.
Sadness (Part 1) by Enigma (5 million singles sold) mixes religious chants, the sensual vocals by German singer Sandra, who had Maria Magdalena in the charts in the 80's with a male voice that questions the desires of Marquis de Sade. Those are desires mingled in a song that reached number one for 5 weeks on the Eurochart and in more than 24 countries (UK and USA, for example) and in some of them the title was changed to Sadness (Part 1), removing, in that way, the sin that this single could contain  giving to it more melancholy than responses to carnal desires.
In this way, as in the song, we can always question our most intimate desires, we can even mix the purest things we have in us without forgetting what’s on the other side of the mirror, that pleasure that can be given by the other, that one when two bodies come together and share the most intimate things they have. Here the name of the Marquis is replaced by yours, because the questions that are asked him can well be answered by you. In fact,  in this mixture of flute sounds and beats you may well meditate on to what extend you are closed by conventions and obsolete or limited traditions.
In short, it is not only Sadeness that is uptodate 27 years later, but also the album MCMXC which is more than a search through a medieval world, full of forest sounds, of fetters that hold the hands and the minds and of people who want to find unique and liberating answers to their most intimate questions. To start this journey, through the video, we have the Principles of Lust, the trilogy in which Sadeness is part of, because sinning never harmed anyone!

Quando contamos os dias, as horas, as semanas e juntámos tudo e obtemos anos e anos de relações, sabemos que nem todas dão certo. Algumas são apenas pequenos parágrafos de páginas escritas à mão, outras transformam-se em pequenos folhetos de jornal e, para o melhor ou para o pior, algumas são mesmos livros com páginas e páginas de acontecimentos, repletos de lágrimas, de abraços, partilhas e algum egoísmo. Nada é fácil quando acaba, mas essa experiência pode muito bem ser enriquecedora, construir uma nova personalidade e obter o melhor que o outro nos ofereceu mas, acima de tudo, crescer sem nunca deixarmos de sermos nós próprios.
Other Girl de Morgan Page com Rayla retrata o final de uma relação, em que não se é capaz de apostar na sinceridade, de chegarmos ao momento de dizermos "Já não gosto de ti" e não porque não conseguimos (apenas) por cobardia, mas porque, secretamente, escrevemos umas linhas de histórias com outra pessoa. Descobrir isso, dessa forma, leva a frases como "não és quem eu pensava", e talvez não fosse mesmo, já que o outro tem, desde o dia um, ser ele próprio e nós nunca devemos (embora seja difícil) criar imagens ao nosso gosto. No final das contas, a fase de construir castelos e de príncipes e princesas já deveria ter terminado há muito.
Assim, mais até do que triste, Other Girl torna-se uma experiência positiva,uma break up song em que nos faz abrir os olhos, libertar de tudo o que não seja positivo e viver a vida com um alegre sorriso invejável. Tu não és mais nem menos que a outra rapariga, és apenas tu e, simplesmente, não irias a lado nenhum se continuasses nessa histórica, tornavas-te numa personagem de uma telenovela, sempre às voltas. Por isso, o melhor é mesmo apostar em ouvir em versão extended do tema, usufruir dos vocais da bela Rayla e a produção deste produtor que já ganhou dois grammies e já remisturou Katy Perry e The Temper Trap, por exemplo.

When we count the days, the hours, the weeks and gather everything and we get years and the years of relationships. Some are just small paragraphs of handwritten pages, others turn into little newspaper pamphlets, and for better or for worse, some are books with pages and pages of events, full of tears, of hugs, some selfishness. Nothing is easy when it is over, but this experience may well be enriching, building a new personality and getting the best the other has offered us, but above all, growing up without ever ceasing to be ourselves.
Other Girl by Morgan Page with Rayla portrays the end of a relationship, in which one is not able to bet on sincerity, to come to the moment of saying "I do not love you anymore" and not because we can not say (just) due to cowardice, but because, secretly, we have started writing lines of stories with another person. To discover this, in this way, we come up with sentences like "you are not what I thought you were", and maybe he/she wasn’t, since the other has to be himself, since day one, and we should not (even though it is difficult) imagine things as we want them to be. In the end, the time building castles and princes and princesses should already be gone.
So, more than being a sad song, Other Girl becomes a positive experience, a breakup song which opens our eyes, free us from everything that is not positive and makes us live a life with a cheerful smile. You are not more or less than the other girl, you are just you and, simply, you wouldn’t go anywhere if you would continue to be in this story, you would become a character on a long soap opera.  Therefore it is the best to love the extended version of the song, enjoy the vocals of the beautiful Rayla and the production of this producer who has already won two grammies and has already remixed Katy Perry and The Temper Trap, for example.
