What is Love é, provavelmente, a questão que percorre várias páginas dos nossos livros, às vezes em capítulos pequenos ou extensos, por vezes bem alegres ou tristes ... afinal, tantos anos depois, podemos ainda e sempre (?) questionar o que é o Amor, ou não? Desde os momentos em que nos apaixonámos e roubámos um beijo pela primeira vez no jardim de infância, sem saber muito bem o que eram aquelas borboletas na barriga à altura, bem mais tarde, em que as mesmas se juntam à admiração, ao desejo do corpo, à construção de uma relação (seja ela do tipo que for).
Em 1993, na versão eurodance de Haddaway tivémos a hipótese de perguntar com uma certa alegria mas agora Lost Frequencies revisita o tema de forma bem mais introspectiva, tornando o single do álbum Less is More ajustado para os fins de tarde um pouco mais quentes em que percorremos, sozinhos, os vários quilómetros dos passadiços das praias de Gaia e vamos, pontualmente, vendo caras alegres, cansadas e sorridentes. Existem ainda remisturas de Demitri Vegas e Like Mike, que são apenas próprias para festas EDM, de Rose (adicionada à playlist do Spotify) e Zonderling em que ambas adicionam um feeling bem mais próximo de classic house, fazendo com que estas questões filosóficas se tornem bem mais aprazivéis com um Martini Bianco bem gelado e amigos à nossa volta.
O vídeo, esse, mostra o amor que temos pelo desporto e por aqueles que estão ao nosso lado sempre que algo corre menos bem e que nos fazem, de uma certa forma, encontrar algumas respostas possíveis para esta pergunta. Por isso, 23 anos após a edição da primeira versão, mesmo com outra mistura electrónica e dançável, ainda estamos baralhados com todos os caminhos que esta pergunta nos leva ... Assim, só nos resta percorrer um por um com esta música, em busca de uma (qualquer) conclusão. Podes ouvir, já na playlist do blog!

What is Love is probably the question that goes through several pages of our books, sometimes in short or long chapters, sometimes very happy or sad ... after all, so many years later, we can still and always (?) question what love is, can't we? From the moments when we fell in love and stole a kiss for the first time in the kindergarten, not knowing very well what those butterflies in the belly meant to the the time,years later, when they join the admiration, the desire of the body, the conception of a relationship (whatever it may be).
In 1993, in the eurodance version by Haddaway we had the chance to ask with some joy but now Lost Frequencies revisits the theme in a much more introspective way, making the single from the album Less is More tuned for little warmer afternoons when we travel, alone, through the several kilometers of the walkways on the beaches of Gaia and we, once in a while, see joyful, tired and smiling faces. There are also remixes of Demitri Vegas and Like Mike, which are just suitable for EDM parties, by Rose (added to the Spotify playlist) and Zonderling in which both add a feeling much closer to classic house, making these philosophical questions become much more enjoyable with a chilled Martini Bianco and friends around us.
The video shows the love we have for sports and those who are by our side whenever something goes wrong and that lead us, in a way, to find some possible answers to this question. So, 23 years after the release of the first version, even with another electronic and danceable mixture, we are still shuffled with all the paths that this question takes us ... So, we only have to go one by one with this song, in search of a(ny) conclusion!

I Love The 90s, uma das maiores festas da Europa, chega pela primeira vez à cidade de Madrid. Numa altura em que o revivalismo está em alta, temos aqui a oportunidade de cantarolar aqueles hits pop e eurodance que percorreram as rádios durante essa década. Irá haver momentos para as coreografias típicas da época, com Whigfield (Saturday Night) e Snap! (The Power), para além de refrões entusiasmantes como All That She Wants ou The Sign dos simpáticos suecos Ace Of Base, representados pela Jenny Berggren, quarteto cujo debut album Happy Nation foi o mais vendido de sempre. É  bem verdade que não há limite para as memórias que vão ocorrer quando os 2Unlimited surgirem, ou até mesmo os Technotronic com a aquele tema que tornou a música de dança comercialmente apelativa, falamos, claro, de Pump Up The Jam. A par destes nomes, temos ainda a brasileira Olga de Souza com o projecto italiano Corona (The Rhythm of the Night), Tina Cousins (Pray) e uns outros grupos mais direccionados para o mercado espanhol. Se, por acaso não podem ir (re)viver estes momentos a 13 de maio, não desesperem! Existem mais duas versões do concerto em Barcelona (7 de julho) e Valência (3 de junho), embora nestes últimos os lineups sejam um pouco diferentes, e incluam Gala (Freed from Desire), Vengaboys (Boom, Boom,Boom) e C+C Music Factory (Everybody Dance Now).
Podemos não falar da festa mais glamorosa ou até questionar a qualidade das canções. Porém, a música acompanha-nos desde sempre e não há nada como recordar aquele período de cassettes e cds, os quais passavam na rádio da escola ou nas festas do liceu. Vamos certamente sorrir, sentir saudades e (re)ler o(s) capítulo(s) da nossa infância /adolescência novamente ... nem que seja por algumas horas. Infelizmente nenhum destes eventos está previsto para Portugal mas ...

I Love The 90s, one of the biggest parties in Europe, arrives for the first time in the city of Madrid. At a time when revivalism is on the rise, we have the opportunity to sing the pop and eurodance hits heavy played on  the radios during that decade. There will be times for the typical choreographies from that time, with Whigfield (Saturday Night) and Snap! (The Power) as well as exciting choruses like All That She Wants or The Sign from the friendly Swedes Ace Of Base, represented by Jenny Berggren, the quartet whose Happy Nation was the biggest selling debut album ever. It is true that there is no limit to the memories that will occur when the 2Unlimited shows up, or even Technotronic with that track that made dance music commercially appealing, we are talking, of course, about Pump Up The Jam. Alongside these names, we also have the Brazilian Olga de Souza with the Italian project Corona (The Rhythm of the Night), Tina Cousins ​​(Pray) and other groups more directed to the Spanish market. If, by any chance, you cannot (re) live these moments on May 13th, do not despair! There are two more versions of the concert in Barcelona (July 7th) and Valencia (June 3rd), although in the latter the lineup is a bit different, and include Gala (Freed from Desire), Vengaboys (Boom, Boom, Boom) and C + C Music Factory (Everybody Dance Now).

We cannot talk about the most glamorous party or even question the quality of the songs. However, these sing-along tracks have always been with us and there is nothing like remembering that period of cassettes and CDs, which were broadcast on school radio or at high school parties. We will certainly smile, feel homesick and (re) read the chapter (s) of our childhood / adolescence again ... even if it is just for a few hours. Saddly none of these events are going to happen in Portugal but ...

Sex On The Beach, seja ele em cocktail ou naquele fim de tarde com o pôr-do-sol…Não há Verão que resista a uma canção pop/reggae desprovida de qualquer conteúdo, mas que tenha tudo o que pode conduzir a momentos de riso, cheios de cantorias e de coreografias um tanto ao quanto pervertidas. São esses momentos em que um Sex On The Beach colorido pode ajudar a desinibir!
