chilltronica with Blank & Jones!

Pieter Blank and Jaspa Jones, mais conhecidos por Blank & Jones, são um dos maiores nomes da música electrónica alemã. Apesar das suas produções serem maioritariamente voltadas para o trance/electro, conseguem cativar outros fans ao editarem 3 cd’s denominados Relax, com influências downtempo e chillout.  
Provando que não se limitam a um género apenas, para quem admira aqueles momentos introspectivos, os Blank & Jones apresentam Chilltronica, um novo conceito de chillout numa compilação com nomes sonantes como Erlend Oye, Depeche Mode, Bliss e Lulu Rouge. Se depois do Verão os sons baleares de guitarras acústicas e músicas frescas se tornam um tanto ao quanto fora do contexto, Chilltronica apresenta melodias mais escuras e melancólicas.
Desta forma, este cd pode muito bem ser descrito numa frase apenas: a perfeita “late night music for (our) cold winter days”. Por isso, para sentir o Inverno em todo o seu esplendor…ouve!

Pieter Blank and Jaspa Jones, known as Blank & Jones, are one of the biggest names of German electronic music. Although their productions are mainly trance/electro, they can also capture other fans by releasing 3 cd’s named Relax, with downtempo and chillout influences.
Proving that they aren’t stick to just one genre and for those listeners who admire more introspective moments, Blank & Jones present Chilltronica, a new concept of chillout in a compilation containing big names such as Erlend Oye, Depeche Mode, Bliss and Lulu Rouge. If after the Summer the balearic sounds and fresh songs are completely out of context, Chilltronica presents more dark and melancholic melodies.
As a result, this can be just said in a simple sentence: the perfect “late night music for (our) cold winter days”.  Therefore, in order to feel the Winter in its splendour…listen!

Beach Angel...it's fierced!

No nevoeiro destes dias não há nada como fazer de tudo para que o sol volte a brilhar, o calor esteja abrasador e seja necessário uma vodka limão bem gelada. Mas como se tornar no dono do tempo?
Beach Angel III compilado pelo deejay Mark Doyle (que já fez parte da Hed Kandi) é bem capaz de fazer com o nevoeiro levante, a piscina fique repleta de meninas de bikini e o bar de praia cheio. Quente, sensual e cheio de ritmo, esta nova compilação (3 cds) para o verão 2008 vem trazer as melhores sonoridades para a piscina iluminada e as peles morenas, com nomes como A:xus (Peace, Love & Happiness), Blue Six (Music & Wine), Kaskade (Everything) , Samantha James (Breath You In), Afterlife (Cry Again), entre outros.
Desta forma, os ritmos house e latin house vão fazer com que o verão perdure por mais alguns dias neste que será, sem dúvida, o verão do melhor summer romance que alguma vez iremos ter memória.

Há sempre duas possibilidades neste summer romance, por isso, partilha, sorri e vive porque se pensares que “if I never take this leap of faith I'll never know”, consegues fazer com que o summer love chegue às noites frias de Inverno. Assim, a combinação electrónica de Saltwater (Nº1 Club Hit) de Chicane com a voz e letra pop de I Bruise Easily de Natasha Bedingfield contribui para um dos melhores momentos para os nossos ouvidos, e para nos declarar através do nosso olhar.
Bruised Water já está em alta rotação, e embora ainda não exista uma data oficial para a sua edição em single, é bem capaz de provocar um burburinho nas clubcharts deste ano, com remisturas de Misha Daniels e Adam K, antecipando assim a edição do Best Of Chicane, para além de nos fazer saber que sempre que tocamos em alguém, podemos deixar aquela marquinha como “a love heart, carved on a tree”.

Serve Chilled ... with Ice!

Mais um Verão, mais uma edição Hed Kandi perfeita para ouvir com aquele cocktail favorito pertinho da piscina. Serve Chilled deve ser servido bem gelado, acompanhado por uns bons auscultadores e uma paisagem bonita para fazer sorrir naqueles momentos de sol a meio da tarde.

A compilação é composta por dois cd’s, sendo o primeiro composto por grandes senhores da electrónica como Groove Armada, StoneBridge com uma versão lounge de Put’Em High bastante interessante, Neon Heights e José González. No segundo a voz inconfundível de Nina Simone está presente com Here Comes The Sun, com um remix espectacular de François K., para além de 4 Hero e outro fragmento de Kenneth Bagger (cujo o segundo fragmento estava presente na edição do ano passado de Serve Chilled com Julee Cruise).
Agarrem os auscultadores, sintam a brisa do mar, o sol nos óculos….e let’s chill pois Serve Chilled tem, claro está, 5 estrelas estampado na capa.

Another summer, and another perfect release from Hed Kandi to listen with the perfect cocktail at the swimming pool. Serve Chilled must be served with ice, accompanied by good hedphones and a beautiful landscape to makes us smile during the sunny afternoons.

The compilation is comprised by two cd’s, having the first one great men from the electronica souds like Groove Armada, StoneBridge, with a very interesting lounge version of Put’Em High, Neon Heights and José González. The second cd offers the unmistakable voice of Nina Simone with Here Comes The Sun, a great remix of François K., also 4 Hero and another fragment of Kenneth Bagger (whose first fragment with Julee Cruise was included in the Serve Chilled released last year).
Grab the headphones, feel the sea breeze, the sun in your sunglasses…and let’s chill, as Serve Chilled as 5 stars on its cover.

Nos dias de calor, nas tardes com um belo pôr de sol e um Martini para abrir o apetite, sabe bem saborear sons que nos elevem para outro mundo. Esta compilação é para isso que serve… Serve Chilled da Hed Kandi é a perfeita banda sonora para esses dias, sons chillout e de world music, com temas de Sara Tavares (sim, ela tem qualidade!), Fish Go Deep, Grandadbob, Kings Of Tomorrow, entre outros.
Conselho: Ponham os headphones, sentem-se numa esplanada na praia…e let’s chill!
