Uma semana pesada de trabalho, em que a vida só passa perante um ecrã que muda de imagens entre contas Teams, Google e Sapo. Uma semana de trabalho em que as passwords se misturam, as imagens se fundem numa mescla de ficheiros e as palavras deixam de fazer sentido ao fim da tarde ... por isso, as conversas às 20 horas não fazem sentido algum. E a uma sexta-feira, poderão elas ser necessárias? Não parece que sejam!

Num dos dias menos alegres, redescobrimos a versão de um CD-R bem velhinho com o som que uma rádio de Lisboa se fazia conhecer no Porto. Talvez por isso, o som desta semana tivesse um travo de revivalismo, por entre discotecas como o SoundPlanet, Rocks ou até mesmo, 8 Graus Oeste na Veneza Portuguesa e a extinta Elektro Parade do Porto. Será este cenário que serve de abertura a uma compilação com 21 anos mas que contém o que de melhor (ou não) se fez num ano de música prontinha para martelar as pistas de dança, alcançar as tabelas de vendas e se tornarem clássicos. Exemplos? Não faltam ... Rui da Silva, com Touch me (nº1 no Reino Unido), Celeda com o som repetitivo e viciante de Underground, Deep Dish e Everything but the Girl, Da Hool e Funkstar Deluxe com Grace Jones e Barry White....

Não precisamos de muitas explicações, porque uma sexta com o tema "Do you remember?", só necessita de uma boa coluna no volume acima do aceitável, para acreditarmos que, em breve, uma extended version do nosso hit favorito irá estar prontinha para aquecer um dancefloor que, há um ano, nos espera .... ansiosamente! Por agora, afasta a mobília da sala e ...

A heavy week of work, in which life only passes in front of a screen that changes images between Teams, Google and Sapo accounts. A work week in which passwords are mixed, images are merged into a mixture of files and words no longer make sense in the late afternoon ... so conversations at 8 pm make no sense. And on a Friday, could they be necessary? It doesn't look like they are!

On one of the less joyful days, we rediscovered the version of a very old CD-R with the sound from a Lisbon radio which was becoming known in Porto. Perhaps this is why this week's sound had a touch of revival, among clubs such as SoundPlanet, Rocks or even, 8 Graus Oeste(1) in Portuguese Venice(2) and the extinct Elektro Parade in Porto. It will be this scenario that opens a 21-year-old compilation but that contains the best (or not) made in a year of music ready to bump the dancefloors, reach the sales charts and become classics. Examples? There are a lot  ... Rui da Silva, with Touch me (No. 1 in the UK), Celeda with the repetitive and addictive sound of Underground, Deep Dish and Everything but the Girl, Da Hool and Funkstar Deluxe with Grace Jones and Barry White....

We don't need many explanations, because a Friday with the theme "Do you remember?",  just needs a good speaker in highest volume acceptable, to believe that, soon, an extended version of our favorite hit will be ready to warm up a dancefloor that has been waiting for us for a year ... eagerly! NOw, make room in your living room and ...

Numa sexta-feira, outrora movimentada de carros, luzes vermelhas, verdes e amarelas, entrecortadas pela chuva, de correrias, de vozes no metro e de telefonemas a alto e bom som pela avenida, tudo em busca do início de uma happy hour pela baixa, fugíamos todos a momentos de silêncio (Ruhe) em busca de experiências que borbulhavam som.
Hoje, num dia frio de Fevereiro, buscamos um silêncio recortado de melodias que não sejam eufóricas, mas que não sejam demasiado introspectivas para este nosso confinamento. Como resolver esta dualidade? 
Não será a lermos Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller, que o iremos conseguir. Mas a ouvirmos a banda electrónica que partilha o seu sobrenome. Com uma carreira que iniciou no final do milénio, e com mais de 7 milhões de álbuns vendidos (bilingues), duetos com Sarah Brightman, Nadia Ali, Kim Sanders, Mike Oldfield, entre outros, temos uma fusão de classicismo e sons electrónicos e tecnologias, numa amálgama de emoções sonoras.
Symphonia é isso mesmo, pois nunca nos faz resvalar em emoções interiores demasiado pessimistas e, simultaneamente, não cria a euforia necessária que nos faria querer abrir a porta de casa, apesar de oferecer crescendos emotivos, em pouco mais de uma hora (Ah, e não saber Alemão não implica em nada não querer desbravar caminhos por estes sons sentados no sofá)
Freitag ... uma garrafa de vinho tinto, as portadas abertas para ver a chuva a bater nas janelas, Symphonia de fundo e ____________ (preencher com o que mais te faz falta numa noite relaxante).

On a Friday, once bustling with cars, red, green and yellow lights, interrupted by rain, rushing, voices in the metro and loud calls on the avenue, all in search of the beginning of a happy hour downtown , we all ran away from moments of silence (Ruhe) in search of experiences that bubbled sound.
Today, on a cold February evening, we seek a silence cut out of melodies that are not euphoric, but that are not too introspective for our confinement. How to resolve this duality?
Reading Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller, will not be the answer. But listening to the electronic band that shares his surname. With a career that started at the end of the millennium, and with more than 7 million (bilingual) albums sold, duets with Sarah Brightman, Nadia Ali, Kim Sanders, Mike Oldfield, among others, we have a fusion of classicism and electronic sounds and technologies, in an amalgamation of sonorous emotions.
Symphonia is just that, because it never makes us slip into overly pessimistic inner emotions and, at the same time, it does not create the necessary euphoria that would make us want to open the door of our home, despite offering emotional growth, in just over an hour (Ah, and not knowing German does not imply that you do not want to open paths through these sounds sitting on the sofa).
Freitag ... a bottle of red wine, the shutters wide open to see the rain hitting the windows, Symphonia in the background and ____________ (fill in with what you miss most on a relaxing night).

Two countries breathe music! Germany and Sweden are together in one of the most stimulating melodies soon to be released. Schiller and Petra Marklund, known as September joined forces for Breathe, included in the 2008 platinum album Sensucht (released in English as Desire) in an ambient chillout version, and it also includes other collaborations with Colbie Caillet, Kim Sanders, Lang Lang, among others. After one of the best performances in the Polish Sopot Festival, Dave Ramone remixed the track with strong and exciting electro house beats that heighten Petra’s fantastic voice and the lyrics of the track. Sometimes we cannot breathe and it isn’t for the fact we are in love, but for the fact that we don’t know what to do; therefore the chorus says “I can’t breathe my love/ I’m swimming in the dark beside you”. In this way, if one day we aren’t able to breathe, may it be only for the fact that we are watching Schiller live in a concert, who has already got a Opus Award for Best Sound Design of a Live Show, and not for the fact that we are lost with impossible love. In other words, Breathe won’t have a Bitter End, but a sweet beginning!		Dois países respiram música! Alemanha e Suécia juntos numa das melodias mais estimulantes a serem editadas em breve. Schiller e Petra Marklund, mais conhecida como September uniram-se para Breathe, incluído no álbum platinado de 2008 Sehnsucht (editado em inglês como Desire) em versão ambient chillout, que contém também colaborações com Colbie Caillet, Kim Sanders, Lang Lang, entre outros. Após uma das melhores performances no festival polaco Sopot Festival, Dave Ramone remisturou a faixa com batidas electro house fortes e estimulantes, o que fazem ressaltar a fantástica voz de Petra e a letra da própria canção. Por vezes perdemos a respiração junto de quem gostamos, e não é pelo facto de estarmos apaixonados, mas sim por não sabermos o que fazer, daí que o refrão seja “I can’t breath my love/ I’m swimming in the dark beside you”. Desta forma, se um dia estivermos sem conseguir respirar, que seja apenas pelo facto de estarmos a ver Schiller ao vivo num concerto, uma vez que já recebeu um Opus Award para Best Sound Design of a Live Show, e não porque estamos perdidos em amores impossíveis. Por outras palavras, Breathe não terá um fim amargo (Bitter End) mas um começo bem doce!

Kaskade is the man responsible for giving feelings to dance music. With the edition of his album Strobelite Seduction, we have a journey through deep house without precedents (only if you didn’t hear his side project Late Night Alumni).

The new single I Remember is conquering the United Kingdom and is collaboration with the also well known producer Deadmau5 taking us to musical revolution. With a soft voice, a calm melody that takes us to the nice summer evenings, we are presented with a single that follows the same line as the previous ones. For those who think that a single does not show the whole work of a dj/producer, you can buy the album to which you can listen every time you want specially the track 4.A.M. with the voice of Late Night Alumni, Move For Me and the well known Angel On My Shoulder.
