Ikea, Freddie Ljungberg and Abba …. All well-known Swedish exports. Of course, you should have added the dj, pianist and producer Rasmus Faber if (god forbid!) you don’t know him yet. He already has a great musical career with a bunch of albums and compilations and tracks that were added to critically acclaimed releases of Hed Kandi, for example. How can one describe the feeling when we listen to his tracks? Well, we can’t. In fact we have fantastic sensations of summer, love and happiness.

The Sun started to shine and nothing better than to kick off this year’s spring with the album Indian Summer, which is exactly what we have been waiting for. Does the fact that he comes from Sweden makes you feel a bit chilly? Don’t worry! He really knows how to mix electronic music with hot sounds and deep house grooves wrapped in live instrumentation.

This LP is comprised of 8 tracks with a minimum of 126 BPM and amazing collaborations with Emily McEwan, Polina Griffith, Melo and Frida Sundemo. This summer trip kicks off with Indian Summer, which for those who haven’t been to India yet, might feel the shinny colours and aromas of the country. Clear The Rain is just that, it allows you wear your sunglasses and enjoy the beach as if were there for the first time. You will continue enjoying this typical mixture of beats until Hunt You Down and Hurricane, which cools things down for a bit though the name shows the opposite, before you end with the track Take Me Dreaming … well, that’s exactly what you will say when you finish listening to album and you will pray not to wake up!

Therefore, do not expect commercial pop or dance music! Do expect a LP with real feelings and a journey through dreams. In this way Indian Summer  is capable of changing opinions for those who are always skeptical about the fact that dance music is worth buying and listening to!

IkeaFreddie Ljungberg e  Abba …
